Our Story

Growing up, I used to listen to Hip -Hop and R&B music and it became my favourite genre of music. P Diddy, Notorious BIG, Tupac, Dr Dre and Snoop Dog were some of my favourite  artist. I enjoy every bit of the music and even till today, I'm still vibing to this genre. 

 

 My interest in the music made me curious about the African American background in the states and I started to find out more  about their culture and heritage. I found out that a majority of the African Americans came from the southern states such as Mississippi, Georgia, Nashville and Louisiana.  There, BBQ food is a staple and the locals call their food 'soul food' or southern cuisine which consist mainly of grilled ribs, seafood boils, fried steaks, biscuits and mac & cheese amongst others.

Realising that there isn't any halal Southern Soul Food here at home, R.I.B was hence created. With R.I.B, we hope to bring together you and your loved ones through hearty and comforting southern soul food, just like how they do it in the Southern States.
